UMIDS is super excited to present our first-ever in-person event: ‘Arboviruses in an Australian Context’!
Heard of the recent emergence of Japanese Encephalitis Virus cases in VIC, NSW and QLD?
Did you know that more than 75 arboviruses have been identified in Australia?
Did you know that some of the neglected Australian arboviruses may emerge as significant agents of human diseases in the coming decades?
Here is your chance to learn more and increase your understanding of JEV, as well as other arboviruses such as Murray Valley Encephalitis virus, Ross River virus, etc.
We will also be discussing the impact of climate change on infectious disease epidemiology!
We will be joined by fantastic speakers with a wealth of experience in the field of infectious diseases. There will be Q&A session so make sure to come along with your burning questions.
Join us at 6:30PM on the 25th of May at Arts West North Wing- Room 153 [Forum Theatre] at the University of Melbourne Parkville Campus. Click ‘Going’ to keep yourself updated!!
