These two programs are separate events but will both be in Cairns just prior to the Global Health Conference (GHC). Applications are open now. See the attached documents for application information. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in Global Health!</li>

<p>Exams may be looming, but keep an eye on the big picture. Don&#8217;t miss the first UMMSS Careers Night for 2012. Come along to hear from a range of inspiring consultants talk about their specialties, and how they got to where they are now.</p>
<p>Talks will start at 6:30, but come by at 6:00 for some free refreshments and sponsor freebies! Speakers include:</p>
<p>Dr. Antony Tobin, ICU Physician from St. Vincent&#8217;s, will talk all things critical care.</p>
<p>Dr Harin Karunajeewa, ID Physician &amp; Researcher from the Western, is set to infect you with the research bug.</p>
<p>A/Prof Winita Hardikar, Paediatric Gastroenterologist at RCH, will amaze you talking about her work with young transplant recipients.</p>
<p>A/Prof Peter Mitchell, Neurointerventional Radiologist at RMH, will show you what&#8217;s involved in his sub-sub-speciality.</p>
<p>Dr Kenneth Yap, Nuclear Medicine Specialist, Alfred Hospital, will talk about his day job across the river, and of course the role of functional imaging.</p>
